About the WRC
The Women's Resource Center (WRC) was founded in 1978 by a group of women committed to the common mission of ending domestic violence and sexual assault.
The staff and volunteers of the Center continue to dedicate their efforts to ending sexual and domestic violence and all forms of oppression of women and children.
Essential cornerstones of the WRC's mission include:
- Recognizing and advocating a woman's right to self-determination and self-direction
- Respectful acceptance of all individuals, regardless of their previous choices, differing abilities, gender, sexual orientation, or racial, ethnic, religious, or socio-economic background.
